Toyota Sequoia OBD Port Location (2001-2007)

So your Sequoia has a check engine light? Not exactly a thrilling feeling, believe me. The same thing happened to my 2006 Toyota Sequoia I recently bought. That left me wondering where the OBD port location on the vehicle was. After looking around on the internet, I couldn’t find much. So here is a quick article to help first generation Sequoia owners find the OBD port location.

OBD Port Location

The OBD port for all first generation Toyota Sequoias is located under the dash on the bottom right side of the steering wheel. The white port is above the gas petal on the very right hand side (see picture). You have to get pretty low to see it.

First, look in the drivers seat area below and too the right of the wheel.

The port is under the dash above the gas petal. You have to get low to see it.

You can now locate the white port sticking out.

Now that you’ve found the port, you can move forward with reading those engine codes. Hopefully it’s a simple fix and you can get it taken care of in no time. Also, if you don’t own an OBD reader, select auto parts stores will read your engine codes for free. I hope this helps!
