Toyota Sequoia Cabin Air Filter (2001-2007)

Where is the cabin air filter located in my first generation Toyota Sequoia? What size cabin air filter does my Sequoia have? This seems to be a commonly asked question on the internet, and lots of car owners are confused by the answer. So where is the Cabin Air Filter?

There isn’t one.

No Air Filter Explanation

So let me further explain what I mean by “there is no cabin air filter”. In Toyota Sequoia models from 01-07, the air box design is the same as the 1st Generation Toyota Tundra. Instead of having a in-cabin air filtration system, the air is sucked in from under the under the wipers in the wiper cowl area. The modern cabin air filter wasn’t introduced until the 2008 model.
