I’m Andrew from Trail Runner Customs. Founder, CEO, and Janitor all in one. I got my first 4Runner when I was 17 after saving up all summer working on a construction crew. It wasn’t fancy, but to me it was the best thing on four wheels. I’ve always loved finding clever ways to upgrade older vehicles, giving them a more modern look and feel without losing what makes them special. Around that time, newer Toyota trucks were blowing up in popularity, and the Tacoma TRD Pro grille had become the must-have style. I wanted that same look for my 4Runner, but nobody made it. So I decided I would.

I ordered a Tacoma grille online and spent a few nights figuring out how to make it fit. I cut the center out of my stock 4Runner grille, trimmed down the Tacoma one, and combined them with screws and glue right in my driveway. It wasn’t perfect, but when I finished painting it matte black and bolted it on, it completely transformed the vehicle.

Other 4Runner owners started asking where they could get one. That’s when I realized this was more than a one-time project. A year later, I started Trail Runner Customs out of my parents garage in coastal Alabama with the goal of creating high-quality, OEM-style parts for people who love their Toyotas as much as I do. I kept working and creating new mods, and finally went full time in 2023.

In 2025, after getting married and moving to Mississippi, I moved into my first real shop. What started with one 4Runner and a few tools had turned into a growing business serving thousands of Toyota and Lexus owners.

Trail Runner Customs was built on the values I was raised with: integrity, hard work, and service. Every product we make still carries that same spirit today.
